Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Helps Protect the Gulf and Supports Save Our Gulf

On June 21, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy will present "There Is No God" b/w "God Is Love"  the new single from Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and features the musical talents of Emmett Kelly, Ben Hall, Pete Cummings, Peter Townsend, Billy Contreras, Cassie Berman and Rachel Korine. The songs were recorded by Mark Nevers and mastered by Paul Oldham.

The Mississippi River and Oil Pollution

One of the reasons people from other parts of the country move to Southern Louisiana are the colorful Tennesse Williams-esque characters scattered among the swamps and bayous. The Mississippi River is one of those characters. New Orleans would be nothing without this friend and foe. This weekend the River will crest at its highest peak in Louisiana since 1927 after weeks of flooding town after town nestled on its banks.

Dear Administrator Jackson and Secretary Sebelius,

154 Environmental, Fishing, Chemical Reform, and Community Groups Demand Public Health Attention in the Wake of the BP Oil Disaster

A diverse coalition of 154 groups, including Waterkeeper Alliance, United Houma Nation, Association of Family Fishermen and 69 different Waterkeepers organizations, representing hundreds of thousands of community members around the country, Mexico and China, sent a letter to EPA Administrator Jackson and HHS Secretary Sebelius demanding action on the growing public health crisis on the Gulf Coast.

May 20, 2011. LEAN and Lower Mississippi Riverkeeper have been following the Mississippi Flooding as it reaches Southern Louisiana.

The Bonnet Carré Spillway is located on the Mississippi River 28 miles above New Orleans, adjacent to the community of Norco. The spillway diverts Mississippi River water into Lake Pontchartrain with the flow going through Lake Borne to the Gulf of Mexico.

We Need Comprehensive Legislation
